In March, Garden Club of Denver members attended “Flowers I thought I didn’t like, but now love!” the combined Photography and Floral Design Workshop.
Participants created an architectural, modern arrangement (focusing on negative space) composed of old-fashioned blooms such as chrysanthemums, carnations and snapdragons that have been hybridized into modern/softened colors and textures, mixed with various spring flowers (i.e. hellebore, ranunculus, hyacinth and tulips), leaves and spring blooming branches (i.e. quince or cherry).
