The Photography Committee held a workshop on taking winter photos on a snowy Tuesday in February. Presenter Scott Dressel-Martin, professional photographer for the Denver Botanic Gardens, gave tips and tricks on how to capture winter scenes with iPhone and regular digital cameras. Scott showed a number of examples of landscape and macro subjects. One of the tips that I learned from him to capture ice was to make sure that the light is behind the subject. He answered a lot of questions and hopefully everyone left the workshop with a little more confidence to take winter photos.
