In September of 2024 a Visiting Gardens Questionnaire was emailed to members of the Club. 32 responses were received, the responses to the specific questions are as follows:
- How many trips per year would you like? 21 members preferred two and 10 members preferred 1.
- All those who responded would like to visit members’ gardens.
- 22 members preferred trips within driving distance and 10 responded that it didn’t matter.
- 19 members responded that air travel was OK and 13 preferred no air travel.
- In response to the question of if non members should be included? There were 21 in favor of including others and 11 would like trips to include members only.
- There were several suggestions for future trips that I will review and begin to plan.
Thank you to everyone who responded. The information received will aid me to plan appropriately.
Visiting Garden Trip to Newport RI and Beyond Thursday June 19 – Monday June 23, 2025.The trip is sponsored by Art in Bloom Garden Tours, Inc. The trip is five days and four nights, and in addition to the Newport Flower Show, includes a tour of Providence and an excursion to Block Island, RI. An email was sent out to the club with a detailed itinerary and cost of the trip. The email had an RSVP by Friday October 25, 2024. This deadline is specific for allowing the Denver Garden Club the opportunity to sign up, before it is posted on The Art and Bloom website.If the RSVP deadline passes and you are interested in participating, please contact Debra @ debrapatrician@gmail.com and I will contact the tour company for availability.
Visiting Gardens Survey and Upcoming Trip
